About The Position: Learn about the business of radio from the ground up. You’ll be involved in the production of radio commercials; writing, recording, and producing them. You’ll probably voice (read) one during the interview. You’ll also help with producing other on-air shows and elements that we do from day to day such as: loading and editing coaches’ shows, and church shows, checking program logs, and running a control board in a radio studio during the broadcast of a LIVE High School sporting event. You will monitor other game scores for our play-by-play announcer to share on air plus we may even have you update some scores on social media. Hours vary and are based on demand, however, during the football season, Fridays from 6p – 10p are required and during basketball season we may need you 2-3 nights a week. It’s a great opportunity for the right person. Most on-air radio DJs started this way – it’s like paying your dues. This position is part-time, up to 20 hours a week.
