We’ll go first:
The frequency of your advertising schedule is just as important as the message you’re sending.
Your brand needs to be present on every social networking platform.
It takes about 3-6 months of advertising for your message to resonate with listeners.
Can you spot the lie?
The lie is that your brand needs to be present on every social networking platform!
Popular social media management platform, HootSuite, said it best: You can’t speak directly to your best potential customers if you’re trying to speak to their kids and parents and spouses and colleagues at the same time. You need to determine who your target audience is, and where they are located! Not just geographically, but online too.
If your target audience is using every platform (and that’s a big “if”), they are using each one for something different. Posting the exact same thing on each platform is a waste of time and energy, because one post won’t resonate the same way on multiple platforms. If you don’t have the time or staff to tailor your content to Facebook and Twitter and Snapchat and LinkedIn and Instagram and and and… – stick with one or two! And become so good at it that you dominate the platform.
Figure out where your target audience exists most frequently and what type of content they are looking for, then cater to them!
